192.168.0.1 Router Admin Panel Information Center

192.168.0.1 is generally the default value of a range of D-Link and Netgear model routers, and it can be altered using the network router management console any time you like it.

How can I connect to router using 192.168.0.1

When connecting the router, you need to disable any antivirus or firewall software that may be running. Check the IP address of the router. It is likely to be 192.168.l.l; however if you are unsure about it, check the default gateway as it represents the router’s IP. People often make the mistake of typing 192.168.o.1. It is incorrect and you would not be able to login to the router. Make sure that you type in 192.168.0.1.

How can I check the router IP

  • Click the Start button at the taskbar. In the field ‘Search programs and files’, type RUN, and press the Enter key.
  • Now, type CMD , hit Enter key, and then type IPCONFIG. Again press the key Enter.
  • You can find the numbers after the default gateway entry. In this case the address would be 192.168.O.1, which is the IP address of your router.

How can I change the router’s password

You are advised to change the username and password once you have gained access to the router’s configuration page. Do not forget to note down your new login details.

To change the password, you will need to login to your router’s control panel. Feed in the username and password to log in. Find Administrative or Security tab in the menu and click the appropriate button. You will find fields where you have to type in the new password and then confirm it. Make sure you coin a password that is hard to guess. A useful tip is to use characters like underscore and hyphen when creating the password.

Hit the Save button to save the new password. The system will apply the new password instantly.
